Persistent Pain Physiotherapy in Bentley
Find a way forward that fits your life
When pain has been around for months or keeps returning, it can affect much more than one part of your body. It may change how you sleep, work, exercise and spend time with people. You might also feel less confident doing things you once enjoyed.
At FutureReady Physio & Wellness, we take time to understand your experience and what you want to be able to do. Together, we’ll build a practical plan that starts where you are now.
What can physiotherapy help you work towards?
Your goal doesn’t have to be a big one. It might be walking a little further, managing a workday more comfortably, returning to the gym or having the confidence to make plans again.
We’ll use what matters to you to guide your treatment. That means looking beyond a pain score to changes in your activity, function and confidence.
What happens at your first appointment?
We’ll ask about your symptoms, your health history, what you’ve already tried and how pain is affecting your day-to-day life. We’ll also discuss what you hope will change.
Your physiotherapist will assess movements and activities relevant to your concerns. They’ll explain what they find, talk through any questions you have and agree on a starting plan with you. If your symptoms need further medical assessment, they’ll discuss the appropriate next step.
You don’t need to arrive with a diagnosis or a list of exercises you can manage. The first appointment is a chance to work out a sensible place to begin.
A practical approach to persistent pain
Persistent pain is different for each person, so your plan will be tailored to you. Care may include:
- Assessment: understanding your symptoms, movement, current capacity and the activities you want to return to.
- Education: making sense of pain and discussing what may be influencing your symptoms, so you can make informed choices.
- Activity changes: finding manageable ways to adjust work, exercise or daily tasks while you build capacity.
- Gradual rehabilitation: starting with movements you can manage and progressing them towards your goals.
- Hands-on treatment: where appropriate, helping you move more comfortably while you work on longer-term strategies.
We’ll review how you respond and adjust the plan together. Progress may mean doing more, recovering better after activity or feeling more confident managing a difficult day.
