Sports Injury & Rehabilitation in Bentley

Get back to the activities you enjoy

An injury can interrupt your training, your routine and the things you look forward to each week. Whether you’re working towards your next game, returning to running or getting comfortable in the gym again, we’ll help you understand your injury and build a clear rehabilitation plan.

At FutureReady Physio & Wellness, we combine hands-on treatment, practical advice and progressive exercise to support your recovery and prepare you for the demands of your activity.

Support for sport, exercise and everyday movement

You don’t need to be a competitive athlete to benefit from sports rehabilitation. We help recreational athletes, runners, gym goers and people returning to exercise after injury or time away.

You might be dealing with a recent sprain or strain, pain that gets worse during training or an old injury that keeps coming back whenever you try to get back into exercise.

Your goal might be to play a full game of footy, go for a run on the weekend or get back to lifting weights at the gym. We’ll use that goal to guide your care.

Your first appointment: understand the injury and make a plan

We’ll start by listening to what happened, how your symptoms affect you and what you want to get back to doing. We’ll discuss your training, previous injuries and any concerns you have about returning to physical activity.

Your Physiotherapist will assess your movement, strength and function relevant to your injury. We’ll explain our findings and agree on the next steps with you.

You’ll leave with a clear starting plan, including:

  • What you can keep doing and what may need adjusting.
  • Treatment and exercises suited to your current stage.
  • What we’re working towards and how we’ll review your progress.

Where appropriate, treatment and rehabilitation can begin at this appointment.

Hands-on treatment and exercise, working together

Hands-on treatment may help manage pain and stiffness so you can start to move more comfortably and take part in rehabilitation.

Alongside this, we’ll introduce exercises matched to your current ability and gradually increase the challenge as you progress. Depending on your goals, this may involve rebuilding movement, strength, balance, endurance or power.

Your program will evolve with you; from the early stages of recovery through to movements that reflect your sport or training. We’ll also help you work out how rehabilitation fits around your schedule and available equipment.

Rehabilitation in our Bentley gym

Our rehabilitation gym gives you space to practise movements, build strength and progress your exercises with guidance from your physiotherapist.

We can help you learn an exercise or adjust your technique with similar equipment to what you use in your local gym between appointments.

How do we assess readiness to return?

Feeling better is only one part of returning to physical activity. We also consider whether you can manage the demands of your chosen sport or exercise.

Depending on your injury and goals, we may assess:

  • Your movement and strength
  • Balance and control during relevant tasks
  • Your ability to manage repeated effort (endurance)
  • Running, hopping, jumping, lifting or changing direction.
  • How symptoms respond during activity and afterwards.
  • Your confidence in the movements you need to perform

When appropriate, objective strength and movement testing (ie. using ForceDecks) can help us track our progress and guide the next stage of rehabilitation.

Together, we’ll plan a gradual return to training and activity, with clear steps for increasing the challenge.

Take the first step back to activity

You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong before booking. An initial physiotherapy appointment gives us time to assess the problem, discuss your goals and help you work out a way forward.
